A Little Heart Fighting Big Battles – Let’s Help Arpita Walk Towards a Better Tomorrow

Six-year-old Arpita has never known what it feels like to run, play, or laugh freely like other children her age. Since she was just two months old, she has been suffering from frequent fits and severe health complications that have gradually taken away her ability to walk and even sit comfortably.

Born into a daily-wage labourer’s family, Arpita’s parents struggle every day to meet even their basic needs. Despite their constant efforts, they could not afford proper medical care. They consulted several doctors, but her condition did not improve. In their village, due to lack of awareness, people misled the family into believing that her illness was caused by black magic. In desperation, they even approached local healers—but sadly, nothing brought relief.

Last year, the family moved to Ghaziabad in search of better opportunities. They visited government hospitals and were referred for further evaluation due to suspicion of a heart condition. However, due to financial constraints, they could not continue the treatment process at that time. After months of struggle, constant movement, and multiple referrals, Arpita was finally brought to Child Heart Foundation, where—for the first time—her ECHO was conducted and she was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), a serious congenital heart defect.

Today, Arpita shows clear signs of cyanosis her lips, nails, and eyes turn bluish due to low oxygen levels. She is unable to walk, play, or grow like other children her age and urgently requires TOF repair surgery to survive and live a normal life.

After six long years, her family finally has a diagnosis and a path to treatment—but without financial support, it remains out of reach.

₹3.5 lakh is urgently required to cover her surgery and complete treatment support.

This Navratri, a festival of hope and new beginnings, let us come together to support Arpita and her family. Her parents have just one simple dream to see their daughter healthy, happy, and growing like other children.

Your support can turn this dream into reality.
Let’s join hands and give Arpita the life she deserves.
