6.5-year-old Abhijot Singh from Firozpur, Punjab, lives with his parents and two younger siblings. As the firstborn, his arrival brought immense joy and hope to the family. But their happiness was short-lived. At just 10 days old, Abhijot developed a fever. What seemed like a minor illness turned into a life-altering moment when doctors advised further tests. An echocardiography confirmed that Abhijot was suffering from a serious congenital heart disease.
His father, a daily wage labourer earning only Rs.10,000–12,000 per month, is the sole provider for a family of four dependents. Despite their limited means, the family did everything they could—visiting multiple government hospitals in Faridkot and Ludhiana. Unfortunately, they were told that cardiac treatment facilities were unavailable and were referred to bigger centers like **Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research** and **All India Institute of Medical Sciences**.
Coming from a small village, with little awareness and no proper guidance, the family couldn’t navigate the system and had to return home helpless. Since then, Abhijot has been surviving on basic medication, while his parents held on to hope that one day their son would get the treatment he desperately needs.
That hope was reignited when they met another child’s family who had received help through Child Heart Foundation. Without wasting any time, they brought Abhijot to Delhi. A fresh evaluation revealed a critical condition—**Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV) with severe pulmonary stenosis**—requiring urgent open-heart surgery costing approximately Rs.3.75 lakhs.
For this family, the cost is unimaginable. But for Abhijot, this surgery is the only chance to live a healthy, normal life.
His parents dream of seeing him run, play, and smile like other children. Today, that dream depends on the kindness of people like you.
**Let’s come together and give Abhijot a chance at life. Your support—big or small—can help save his heart and bring back his smile forever.**
